I shadowed a University police officer on his patrol for the evening and compiled a radio story about the experience.

As The Daily Bruin’s Community Engagement Director, I am in charge of the papers social media accounts. The most notable test of my job came when a water main burst and flooded large portions of our campus. Immediately after the story broke, I put together a Storify of some bystanders’ initial reactions and posted it on our homepage. As reporters hustled to confirm facts with authorities, our social media activity kept readers as informed as possible.

The initial Storify I put together ended up getting almost 12,000 views.
